The "black cut-and-sew one-piece" was initially produced as one-piece with a paneled stripe, but we decided that one-piece that goes with anything and is easy for anyone to wear would be best, so we changed direction and made it into a plain one-piece. It is made from a thick, tightly woven Tenjiku fabric, and the shoulders are open, which is the highlight of the simple design. We also paid particular attention to how much room we wanted for the relaxed, oversized silhouette.
from mii "I wanted one-piece with a loose silhouette that was just comfortable to wear, so I used a sturdy cotton fabric like a Basque shirt to create one-piece that can be worn casually. The neck design is a crew neck rather than a boat neck, and the sleeves are raglan, giving it a more casual impression than a Basque shirt. For the buttons on the shoulders, I incorporated the knit details from a vintage piece I love. After much deliberation, I chose black as the color. This is a piece that can be styled in a variety of ways depending on the bag, accessories, and shoes you pair it with."
