Using fabric woven in Hyogo Prefecture and lace made in Toyama Prefecture, I made a delicate and pretty lace tunic. The fabric used this time is a white fabric with a dobby weave pattern produced by Shuttlenauts, a fabric brand from Japan based in Nishiwaki City, a production area of Banshu weaving. Based on 60-count fine thread, the pattern part uses thick 30-count two-ply yarn to create a solid three-dimensional effect. In order not to stress the fabric, the fabric is washed with a circular machine for dyeing to create a natural texture, creating a delicate yet rustic texture. For the lace, I used a chemical lace that was embroidered on a water-soluble vinylon fabric and then melted and embroidered. A wide lace is chosen, and the lace on the sleeves is intentionally transparent to create a lovely feminine atmosphere. I made use of the light fabric to create a fluffy silhouette with voluminous sleeves and gathers. Enjoy the spring breeze blowing through the race.
