When I learned about the printing technology of Kitadaka, a fabric manufacturer specializing in printing, I thought, ``If I can make such detailed expressions, I might be able to make Mr. Masuzaki's collage look wonderful,'' so I approached him for the first time in a while. I was allowed to do so. Mr. Yasuzaki is a collage artist who mainly creates illustrations and fabric designs, mainly using beautiful chigiri-e. Mr. Yasuzaki made a wonderful pine cone collage using papers of various textures, including papers he collected on his travels, photos he had taken, and caramel wrappers. They actually went to pick up pine cones and created six types of collages based on the images of carefully selected attractive pine cones. In order to preserve the atmosphere of the original painting, the plate making masters and print masters from print fabric manufacturer Kitadaka consulted and devised various methods. As a result, I decided to use screen printing to create thin lines and use reactive dyes and pigments depending on the color to express the delicate and complex atmosphere of collage. The sleeves of this cut-and-sew dress made from fleece fabric are made with an original pine cone print fabric, creating a design that looks like a layered shirt.
