We decided to work together with the Japanese fabric manufacturer "Hokkaido Co., Ltd.", which specializes in printed fabrics, to create fabrics with the theme of spring, summer, autumn and winter. This is the first installment!! I would like to make prints that make use of Kitakaka's unique technical capabilities that cannot be made anywhere else. The first step of such a collaboration project is a floral pattern that expresses the details of spring flowers like an illustrated book. Broadly speaking, there are three types of printing methods: screen, roller, and inkjet. In contrast to the screen and roller, where each color is separated and layered, inkjet is a method similar to color copying that converts the design into data and sprays it on. Inkjet printers do not need to separate plates, so they are often used when you want to express multiple colors, complex hues, or the bleeding of watercolors. However, the screen has more depth of color and three-dimensional effect, and I prefer the screen. The higher the number of screens, the greater the risk of misregistration and the difficulty of producing fine lines. I wanted to make the design colorful like spring, so I used 11 colors. It was a spectacular sight, and I was impressed by the feeling that the monochrome flowers gradually changed color in the process of printing in order from dark colors. The lines are also the thinnest I've ever seen in a screen print. I was really surprised by the high level of technical ability. I would like everyone to enjoy these prints filled with Japanese technology. The first spring clothes were finished very nicely!
