Kaya weaving stoles that touch the feelings of over 100 years

This 100% cotton stole is made with a "kaya weave" technique that is light and soft like air, and feels comfortable against the skin. It was woven by Sasada Orimono Co., Ltd., a company that has been manufacturing kaya weave for over 100 years in Nara, a traditional production area. As its name suggests, kaya weave has long been used to make mosquito nets, and is characterized by its good breathability due to its coarse flat weave. To align the coarse weave beautifully, a careful process is essential, in which the warp threads are glued in advance to prevent thread breakage. The delicate beauty of the soft, fluffy white and colored threads of this kaya weave stole is sure to add a comfortable touch to any outfit.
