A palm-sized mascot with a cute glare. The ridge-end tiles displayed in the tea room "Onigawara-seki" in Kodai-ji Temple in Kyoto are finished with the beautifully changing designs and colors of the four seasons of the temple. Kodai-ji Temple and Onigawara Kodai-ji Temple was built by Kita no Mandokoro, the lawful wife of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, in memory of Hideyoshi's soul after his death. There are many highlights such as a beautiful garden and a mausoleum decorated with gorgeous makie. One of the most famous is the tea room called Onigawara-seki, where you can see the onigawara, the origin of the name, inside and outside the hermitage.
