[Shimanto Black Tea] A Japanese black tea made with Shimanto tea leaves, carefully prepared using traditional home-fermentation methods. It boasts a gentle, deep flavor and a nice aroma. Origin of ingredients: Black tea (Kochi Prefecture)
[Shimanto Black Tea with Yuzu] Powdered yuzu peel from Umajimura, a well-known yuzu producing area, is blended together. The refreshing yuzu scent is so good. Origin of ingredients: Black tea (from Kochi Prefecture) Yuzu powder (from Kochi Prefecture)
[Shimanto Black Tea with Ginger] A blend of ginger from "Kirishima Field". The ginger has a pleasant, spicy flavor that is irresistible. It is also recommended to add sweetness or make it into a milk tea. Origin of ingredients: Black tea (from Kochi Prefecture) Ginger powder (from Kochi Prefecture)
The ice cream is also delicious and recommended as a light meal.
We also recommend adding sweeteners such as honey or sugar to make it into milk tea.
It also goes well with Japanese sweets such as dumplings.
You can enjoy a lot with just one tea bag. For hot tea, we recommend using about 250ml of hot water for one tea bag.
About the Shimanto River Basin Organic Project This time, Shimanto Drama Co., Ltd., a local trading company, received a passionate offer from Fu, the owner of Food's Note, and developed the product together with him. They develop processed foods and new products using products from the Shimanto River Basin, such as chestnuts, potatoes, and black tea, and spread them nationwide. With a business concept of local, low-tech, and low-impact, they are also a central figure in the Shimanto River Basin Organic Project, which brings together producers and businesses to protect the scenery and rich nature of the Shimanto River Basin and connect the industry to the future. As one of these efforts, the challenge to make Shimanto Black Tea organic began in 2023. *Although it is not certified with the Organic JAS mark, the raw materials for Shimanto Black Tea are made by cultivating soil using compost and other materials, and only tea leaves that are grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers during the cultivation period are used.
The contents of the tea bag are like this... On the left is "Shimanto Black Tea with Yuzu" and on the right is "Shimanto Black Tea with Ginger". It's full of yuzu and ginger! It has a really natural scent. (No artificial flavorings.)
The label illustration was commissioned from mameritsuko. In addition to illustrating packaging, she is also popular for her original paper items sold at craft fairs and events. Her atelier shop in Ina Town, Saitama Prefecture, is open irregularly.
