[Miroco Machiko] Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1981. Painter and picture book author. Her debut picture book, "The Day the Wolf Flies" (East Press), won the Japan Picture Book Award Grand Prize and became a hot topic. She has also won various awards for her subsequent picture books. "I want to live my life by drawing with as big a feeling as possible and creating stories with as much excitement as possible," says Miroco. She was fascinated by the nature of Amami Oshima, where she visited for an interview, and moved from Tokyo in 2019. After moving to Amami Oshima, she seems to be creating works with different motifs and themes from her previous works, and it seems that you can enjoy that aspect (what does Miroco feel on Amami Oshima?), making this a calendar that Miroco fans will love. I would like to enjoy displaying it like an art poster. I am really happy to be able to get my hands on Miroco's works that are full of her feelings for nature and living things, and even works that show things that are invisible in modern life.
