"Nitorito" was founded in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, by combining the words "knit to ori to". The brand is popular for its unique textiles that incorporate the scenic scenery and culture of Yonezawa into its designs. After knitting cotton and wool, the fabric is shrunk to create a felt-like texture, which makes it less likely for the edges to fray, allowing for unprecedented manufacturing.
