The lace on the bib of the "Embroidered Lace Tunic" is made by Chuetsu Lace Industry Co., Ltd., a long-established embroidery lace company founded in 1943. Chuetsu Lace currently has eight lace machines, all of which are Made in Japan and no longer manufactured. Old-fashioned machines are slow to embroider and require a lot of work, but they can create a bulge and unevenness in the embroidery and give it a soft texture. The lace part of this tunic usually becomes a little stiff when this much pattern is added, but thanks to the old-fashioned machines, it is very soft. Yoshiko Nagai, deputy director of the factory, says that embroidered lace is a lace that requires more manpower and effort than raschel lace or torsion lace. This tunic, which is decorated with lace filled with passion and feelings, was made by flying all over Japan, with the fabric coming from Hyogo Prefecture, the embroidery from Toyama Prefecture, and the sewing from Nagasaki Prefecture.
