A delicate and pretty lace tunic was made using fabric woven in Hyogo Prefecture and lace made in Toyama Prefecture. The fabric used is a white fabric with a dobby weave pattern made by Shuttle Notes, a Japanese fabric brand based in Nishiwaki City, the birthplace of Banshu weaving. The fabric is made of thin 60-count thread and thick 30-count double thread for the pattern, creating a solid three-dimensional effect. In order to avoid putting stress on the fabric, the fabric is washed with a circular dyeing machine to create a natural texture, resulting in a delicate yet rustic texture. The lace is made of chemical lace, which is made by embroidering water-soluble vinylon fabric and then dissolving the vinylon to leave only the embroidery. Wide lace was chosen and the lace on the sleeves is intentionally made transparent to create a lovely and feminine atmosphere. Taking advantage of the light fabric, the design is conscious of creating a soft silhouette with voluminous sleeves and gathers. Enjoy the breeze passing through the lace.
