Enjoying Tokaido Famous Places with Uncle Hiroshige

We made playing cards with the design of the wonderful uncles who appear in the famous paintings and Tokaido works drawn by Hiroshige Utagawa. The recommended way to play is "Oji-Nara-be", where you don't have to line up 7. While playing, you can love the uncle drawn by Hiroshige and learn about the post towns of the Tokaido.

In the works of Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), an Edo period painter known as a master of landscape paintings, there are many interesting and nameless people. People who work, people who travel, people who eat... I dared to call them "uncles" with familiarity and attachment to them drawn in the work and spotlighted them.

We have selected a total of 55 pictures, including Nihonbashi, the starting point of the Tokaido, and Sanjo Ohashi, the final destination, so that you can know each post station on the Tokaido.

A museum specializing in ukiyo-e, mainly Utagawa Hiroshige's ukiyo-e prints, including all 71 paintings of ``69th Stations of the Kisokaido'', including the rare ``Ame no Nakatsugawa''. The “layered printing experience corner” where you can simulate the production process of ukiyo-e is also popular.
