``ÑANDUTÍ'' is a cute traditional craft created by the rich nature of Paraguay, South America, and the smiling faces of its people.
●This is a one-time delivery set. The set includes one washi-type masking tape that can be applied and removed, and one clear-type masking tape that can be firmly applied (and cannot be removed). The packaging is elaborate and beautiful, with an exotic feel that evokes the bright sunshine of Paraguay.
[What is “Nyanduti”? ] It has a long history, and is said to have developed based on Spanish lace knitting, which was introduced along with religion in the 16th century, and was fused with Paraguay's unique culture. The fabric is stretched on a wooden frame and then woven with thread to create intricate patterns. There are over 350 motifs that have been carefully passed down from mother to daughter, including Paraguay's rich nature and animals. From ethnic costumes to everyday clothing, Nyanduti plays an important role as a cultural symbol. However, many of the creators are women, and the aging population and lack of successors are becoming more serious year by year, so the Paraguayan government is putting effort into communicating its appeal to the world. As I enjoy chatting with them, I think about the women who are the artisans weaving nyanduti in the shade of the trees. I'm not exaggerating...I think this is a wonderful tape that "builds bridges for cultural exchange." PHOTO by Paraguay Tourism Authority
This is what it looks like when pasted on the box. No ribbon needed for gift wrapping. Just paste it on and it's already cute.
It's also cute to put on paper bags and bags. You can paste it as is, or you can cut out the motif and paste it. By the way, the one with the red letters ``ÑANDUTÍ'' on the package is ``WASHI TAPE,'' a Japanese paper masking tape type, and the blue one is ``CLEAR TAPE,'' which can be firmly stuck (and cannot be removed).
Clear tape can be applied cleanly to glass, metal, etc. We also recommend pasting it on the lids of plain cans and bottles.
It's also cute to put it on a transparent bag!
*Pavilio “ÑANDUTÍ” is an official product of the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay in Japan and the Japan Nyanduti Association.
These earrings are the personal belongings of Fu, the owner of Food's Note, and this motif is exactly what Nyanduti is. Many of them have larger motifs, and are used as part of ethnic costumes or as interior decorations such as table centers, while smaller motifs are often arranged into accessories. ``Nyanduti'' means ``spider's web'' in the local Guarani language. surely! The delicate motifs made with thread are amazing.
