A goldfish photographed by a photographer in Yamatokoriyama is printed. In fact, this bookmark is known to "book lovers, bookstore lovers, and goldfish lovers"! Small Red: The blue of water and the red of goldfish, a beautiful color combination with impact is wonderful!

[Photographer: Interview with Ms. Maki Ando “What does goldfish mean to Ms. Ando?”] Actually, I didn't originally have a fondness for goldfish. I was attracted to the atmosphere of the town called "Yamatokoriyama", and while I was commuting from Osaka to shoot, I wanted a "reason to be there" and started shooting goldfish. So, I needed knowledge about goldfish and the history of goldfish, so when I started studying, it became more and more interesting...

Now, goldfish have become my "existence that satisfies my intellectual curiosity." I like to photograph the shape, movement and occasional emotional expressions of goldfish. And while working as a goldfish artist, working as a photographer of goldfish, and creating works using goldfish photographs as a motif, various connections rapidly spread. So, for me, goldfish are also an image of good luck. Goldfish may be something that connects me with people.

[From Fu, the owner of Foods Note] Yamatokoriyama City in Nara is famous for its production of goldfish. With the media coverage of the annual All-Japan Goldfish Scooping Tournament, the town of Yamatokoriyama, known as the "Town of Goldfish, Yamatokoriyama," is gaining popularity recently. It seems that the number of tourists is also increasing. The Goldfish Scooping Dojo (sacred place for goldfish scooping), where you can hone your skills for competitions, and the souvenir shop where you can scoop goldfish at any time are also popular spots.

By the way, "Tohon" is located in such Yamatokoriyama. This is the small bookstore where I met this "transparent bookmark". In English, the shop name "and book" seems to have been named to connect various things with "to, real". In addition to the unique selection of books, there are bookmarks and miscellaneous goods that tickle the hearts of book lovers. It's a wonderful bookstore with a lot of enthusiastic fans. Everyone is welcome to visit Yamatokoriyama, the town of goldfish. A tasteful townscape and goldfish welcome you. In addition to bookstores, there are bakeries, long-established Japanese confectionery shops, and other wonderful shops!
