江戸時代の大名たちがお菓子を注文するときに使っていたという菓子見本帳。京菓子の老舗「俵屋吉富（たわらやよしとみ）」さんに伝わる見本帳のお菓子を現代風にリデザインした豆皿を作りました。お皿として使うのはもちろん、一緒に届くお菓子の情報カードと見比べて、モチーフのデザインを探すのも楽しい時間。手土産のお菓子に豆皿を添えて……。そんな粋なギフトなら、マンネリしがちなお菓子の贈りものも新鮮になりそう。

This is a confectionery sample book in which Ishihara Tomijiro, the seventh generation owner of Tawaraya Yoshitomi, a Kyoto confectionery shop founded in 1755, wrote down his ideas for sweets. The sweets, intricately drawn with gofun (whitewash), are like works of art. Many of the sweets are themed around the seasons or famous places in waka poetry, with themes hidden in the colors and shapes.
