17th-century tulips and five-ply gauze

A 100% cotton 5-ply weave half gauze blanket that is comfortable on hot and humid nights or when you take a nap in the living room. It was woven by a weaving shop in Senshu, Osaka, which is famous for producing towels. In pursuit of the best texture, the two outer gauze layers that touch the skin are finely textured, and the inner three layers are slightly rough. By layering gauze with different roughness, the more you wash it, the softer and fluffy it gets.
By using the same weaving machine as towels, it has a much softer texture than ordinary blankets.
The tulip design was selected from a 17th century Dutch botanical collection. The pattern Yuki, which looks like it was pulled out of one page of an art book, has a stylish appearance even in the room. With each wash, the print will become familiar, and the fabric will become more textured, so you can enjoy the fun of growing your own vintage. The sage green color gives a stylish impression. Use it as a bed throw or fold it over a chair as a throw. It blends into daily life as part of the interior. When weaving the fabric, a whopping 9,700 warp threads are set in the machine, and the work is carefully done one by one by the hands of the craftsmen. In addition, carrying the soft gauze fabric so that it does not fall apart and sewing it neatly is a work that requires skill, but we have achieved this feeling on the skin through repeated consultations with the fabric factory, sewing factory, and manufacturer. Illustrations are selected from a collection of hand-colored copperplate engravings by Dutch painter and gardener Emanuel Swerts.

Produced in the Senshu region of Osaka, where towel manufacturing is thriving. More than 9,700 threads are set and woven by craftsmen.
