The folds and peaks of the fabric create an elegance of light and shadow.

By applying a decorative stitch called lattice smocking to lustrous satin fabric, you can create elegant cloth accessories that will add a touch of elegance to both everyday wear and special occasion outfits. The impressive design, created by craftsman Uemura Sachi, features a relief-like three-dimensional pattern created by mending and shrinking a single piece of fabric with thread. Pattern printed, so once you learn the rules and get used to it, you'll have so much fun that you won't be able to stop moving the needle. There are also detailed explanations on how to process the fabric after smocking.

(1) Following the printed design, scoop out intersections A and B.

(2) Pull the thread tight and butt the corners together to secure.

(3) Repeat (1) and (2) according to the design.

(4) When viewed from the front, a wave-like pattern appears.
