A collaboration project that realizes ideas with people who are particular about basic clothes. This time, I made an item that I really want right now with stylist Mari Nagasaka, who also does styling for the 〈Three Fifty Standard〉 catalogue.
Mr. Nagasaka has been looking for a short outerwear that is perfect for driving. That story inspired me to create a zip blouson with a boxy silhouette inspired by men's clothing. The design pursues minimalism by eliminating waste. Parts such as zippers and dot buttons are unified in black to avoid standing out. The length makes it easy to wear roughly, and it is easy to mix and match for daily wear, but the fabric also makes it look sophisticated just by putting it on. “We chose fabrics that have firm tension and have a glossy feel with mercerization, and we devised ways to bring out the beauty of the clothes themselves,” says Mr. Nagasaka.
It can be worn as a layered item under a coat in winter, and as a main outerwear in spring and autumn. You can adjust the dot buttons on the hem, so you can enjoy changing the silhouette according to your outfit.
